Working at height training course is designed for all personnel who
work
at height. Course increases awareness of the hazards and risks involved in working at heights. This training is also designed for people who may be required to rescue a person from a height.
Examples of work activities that are classified as working at height:
working on trestles
working on a flat roof
erecting false work or form work
working on a ladder.
As much work as possible from the ground; work off scaffolding in preference to working off ladders ensure workers can get safely to and from where they work at height; ensure equipment is suitable, stable and strong enough for the job, maintained and checked regularly; take precautions when working on or near fragile surfaces; provide protection from falling objects; consider emergency evacuation and rescue procedures.

What is the minimum height for working at height?
There is an instance in which there is no minimum height. If your employees are working over dangerous equipment, machinery, or any hazard into which they could fall, they must have fall protection at all times or machine guarding needs to be put into place.
Is working at height training a legal requirement?
